First edition of the Fieravicola Poultry Forum & B2B presented at Expo Dubai

Three days of meetings and insights on issues affecting the poultry industry, scheduled from 4 to 6 May 2022.

Dubai (14 december 2021) - The first edition of the Fieravicola Poultry Forum & B2B was presented at Expo Dubai during the Macfrut press conference.
The Poultry Forum, an international event dedicated to the poultry industry, will take place on the same days as Macfrut (4-6 May 2022) at the Rimini Expo Centre, and is promoted by Fieravicola in collaboration with Assoavi (the Association of Italian egg producers) and Unaitalia (National Union of Meat and Egg Food Chains). The first day will be dedicated to the promotion of finished products, the second day to international issues, while on the third day a session dedicated to technical-scientific aspects will be held, with the participation of experts from all over the world, in collaboration with WPSA (World's Poultry Science Association), SIPA (Italian Society of Avian Pathology) and ASIC (L'Associazione Scientifica Italiana di Coniglicoltura), the Italian branch of the WRSA - World Rabbit Science Association).
This event will alternate with Fieravicola, which will be a biannual event held in odd-numbered years, and is aimed at establishing regular contact with the poultry industry, as Renzo Piraccini, President of Fieravicola, explained: ‘The combination of Macfrut and Fieravicola has proved that we have something valuable to offer, which has led to strong synergies between these two industries and to the creation of a major hub for the agri-food sector.

‘The first edition of Fieravicola held in Rimini was a huge success and we certainly do not want to such an important achievement to be overlooked,’ said Stefano Gagliardi, General Director of Assoavi, during the presentation in Dubai. ‘The three-day Poultry Forum scheduled for May 2022 will therefore allow us to carry on exploring key topics in our industry while maintaining relations with institutions and scientific researchers. Specifically, we intend to monitor consumption, also in view of the changes that the ongoing pandemic is bringing about in many sectors, including ours.’

Lara Sanfrancesco, General Director of Unaitalia, provided more details on these days dedicated to internationalisation and science: ‘The second day will have a strong international focus, in collaboration with the Eurasian Poultry Association, and we hope that other global players in the poultry farming industry will join in. During the last day, instead, detailed scientific insights will be provided during meetings and technical events designed to appropriately address the hottest topics.’
